Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer Review

The Best Juicer For Beginners

Juicing is not inherently an easy process for complete first timers, as a matter of fact, that’s why I made BestJuicer.net in the first place. But, I just may have found the most beginner friendly slow juicer ever made.

Say hello to the Korean imported Kuvings Whole Slow juicer, a single-auger tower juicer designed to make juicing out of the box painless and easy as possible– all the way from way from juicing to cleaning.

The Juicer:

Generosity, excellent design and attention to detail define the Kuvings Whole juicer. The towering single auger masticating juicer can be easily confused for centrifugal one, but turning it on puts all such doubts to rest. It’s a very quiet machine with a stand out centerpiece–the 3-inch feeder chute–designed to cut down on…well, cutting.

The 3-inch chute makes juicing apples, oranges, peaches, lemons, tangerines and anything else that has a diameter of three inches super easy. No cutting required, unless it’s something like an orange, which needs to have its skin removed before the juicing process.

Kuvings packed a  lot of things in the box, along with a user manual that’s rather unique among juicers.

The box includes:

  • 1. The juicer
  • 2. Chute and plunger
  • 3. Two screeners
  • 4. Three specialized brushes
  • 5. Two jugs (pulp collector and juice jug)
  • 6. Full color instruction manual with cartoon illustrations
  • 7. One full colored, fully illustrated juicing recipe book (which honestly, could have easily qualified as a separate purchase).

So, when it comes to value, Kuvings is really trying to give customers a good deal.

The specialized screen brush is an absolute joy to use, and the pipe cleaner teamed with an over sized toothbrush make cleaning the juicer an absolute breeze. And, there are little touches here and there, such as a detachable non-drip juice spout, silicone plugs, etc., which make this juicer an absolute joy for beginners to use. From the safety features in the chute, pipes and screener, to the red dot alignments and ease-of-assembly process–Kuvings gets full marks from us.

Does the actual juice stand up to standard set by the machine itself?

The Juice:

The answer is..yes! Not only does the Kuvings looks good and work great, but it also makes fantastic juice, with pleasantly astonishing dry pulp, and there was nothing we didn’t throw at it that went awry. Except maybe for greens like cilantro or mint, which made cleaning the screener afterward a bit difficult (even with the special screen brush). Overall, we’ve seen better yield on greens from other cheaper masticating juicers.

But, the Kuvings is definitely among the best in its class when it comes to juicing whole produce like carrots, chunky fruits, grapes, berries, veggies like beet and cabbage, peanuts and frozen fruit for sorbets (the second screener is specifically designed to make butters and sorbets).

However, keep in mind the juicer is not designed for the impatient, as stuffing it with two or three fruits/veggies at once and forcing it to juice with the plunger is just a recipe for pulpy juice and a potentially damaged screen.

Remember to add one apple at a time, and the same principle applies to most other fruits and vegetables that are whole. Of course, something like cubed or sliced pineapple doesn’t need to adhere to the same rules. Honestly, there’s little to complain about here, other than we’ve seen a bit better in terms of green juicing from the competition, or dedicated green juicers .

The Specs:

It is time to number crunch! The Kuvings Whole Slow juicer weighs in at 14 pounds, with dimensions of 9 x 8.2 x 17.6 inches, featuring a 240 heavy-duty motor, which is Eco-friendly and has child-safe parts (it’s a challenge to hurt yourself using the Kuvings)

Final Verdict:

The Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer does its job perfectly, and makes sure the ride along is an easy-to-use and pretty danger free one. This is a juicer meant for families with small children who have a habit of sticking their fingers where they shouldn’t.

It also comes with plenty in the box; doesn’t skim on anything really. We highly recommend this juicer for beginners, due to the parts, design and that excellent recipe book. Just remember to take it slow when juicing whole things, and clean it as soon as possible after every juicing session.
