A Brief History of Champion Juicers

Made is the US, Champion Juicers have a long, successful history. The machine’s producer, Plastaket Manufacturing opened in 1950. It’s name however came from the very first product the company ever produced – plastic fruit baskets. Three years later they were producing juicers for a company in California. In 1955, Plastaket decided to start manufacturing and selling its own brand of juicers.

Over the next ten years the Champion Juicer was developed into the device it is today. Engineering revisions over time allowed for more extraction of juicer along with the ability for users to make nut butters and ice cream. And the company didn’t stop there. Further improvements brought more safety and a lighter model to the market. The launch of Champion Juicer 2000+ in 2011 also brought an attachment that caters especially towards green, leafy vegetables.

There are two main juicers sold by Champion, household and commercial. The household juicer features a single auger with pulp ejector. The assembly, disassembly and clean up are all easy with this device. The commercial juicer is for restaurants and stores that are constantly juicing produce. This stainless steel application has the same auger construction as its household counterpart but more torque for easy usage under heavy conditions.
